Scotch Bottom Farm is owned and operated by Brian, Jodi, and Megan Winkler. The farm which has10 to 20 Haflinger Horses, is nestled in scenic Wayne County of central Ohio. Our family has been breeding Haflingers since 1976, making us one of the oldest Haflinger families in the US. Scotch Bottom has been one of the top competitors in the draft hitch and halter classes across the Midwest for the past 8 years. Aside from competitive showing, Scotch Bottoms mares are used for work on the farm, at competitive plowing matches, for an occasional wedding, and are presented at various breed expositions. The breeding program has become an important part of the operation offering a complete on-farm breeding service, specializing in artificial insemination. Shipped chilled semen is available from two imported Dutch stallions to anywhere in the United States. We are striving to produce an all around family animal. A horse with enough bone and size to be ridden or driven by adults, with enough common sense and understanding to be enjoyed by children. You are invited to take an on-line tour of Scotch Bottom Farm and we look forward to doing business with you in some way.
